Where's the fun in this? Sure the mouse control is fine, but this game needs a light-gun to be fully realized. Well, on the PC version, you get to use your mouse and a cursor to point and click the bad guys. You see, in the arcade version, you got to use a handy-dandy gun to shoot the screen with.
So the visuals aren't that hot, but what about the rest of the game? Is it fast and fun like the arcade game? No, for one simple reason: the mouse. In fact, the PC version is so bad looking that it's often difficult to see the bandits your trying to shoot. In no ways does it even come close to matching the arcade version's crisp and clear visuals. While the arcade game was pretty nice looking, featuring stunning FMV (especially considering that in time period it came out in, FMV was a very new technology) and fast and furious arcade shooting, this PC version is the pits.įor one thing, the FMV is very, very grainy. In all honesty, Mad Dog McCree should have been left back in the arcades.
